New Domain Names are Coming!

The Web is About to Change

Starting as early as winter 2014, hundreds of new domain name extensions will hit the web. These new extensions will help you name your business or personal website in creative, targeted ways never before possible.

Why are new gTLDs being released?

gTLD stands for Generic Top-Level Domain. Because so many domain names are already registered under the current naming system, ICANN is increasing the number of domain extensions available to enable people to choose better, more relevant, more targeted domain names.

What is ICANN?

ICANN is a non-profit organization responsible for coordination and governance over the global Internet. ICANN stands for Internet Corporation for Assigned Names and Numbers.

When will the new gTLDs (domain extensions) be available to register?

The final schedule hasn’t yet been solidified, but we expect the first group of new gTLDs to launch as early as winter 2014.
