Your Guide to the Domain.com Control Panel

So, we’ll walk you through the Domain.com control panel —sometimes called the account manager—and highlight key features, from domain management to website creation. Logging into your Domain.com account
To access your Domain.com account:
- Go to Domain.com and click the Login button in the top-right corner.
- Type your username or domain name and click Next.
- Input your password and click Login.
If you can’t remember your username or password, simply click the Forget User ID? or Forgot Password? below the input field to initiate the recovery process. As long as you remember your email address or domain name, you can regain access to your Domain.com account.
You’ll see your account dashboard after logging in. Here, you can manage your domains, websites, and other services.
Control panel overview
When you log in to your Domain.com account, you’re greeted by your control panel’s dashboard. It’s designed for a straightforward and efficient account management.
Let’s go through the sections and make sure you understand how to use them.
- Dashboard center. This is located at the center of your dashboard. This section displays important announcements, special offers, and personalized prompts. For instance, if you haven’t set up a website yet, you’ll see a prompt here to get started. The “Pick Up Where You Left Off” feature allows you to seamlessly continue recent tasks.
- Domain.com logo. You’ll always find this in the top left corner no matter where you end up. Clicking on the Domain.com logo will send you back to the main dashboard from any page within your account.
- Profile settings. You can access your settings by clicking on your profile picture in the top-right corner. Here, you can update personal details, adjust security settings, and manage billing information.
- Sidebar navigation menu. This is a list of tabs on the left side of your dashboard. This menu provides quick access to these sections:
- Home. Returns you to the main dashboard.
- Domains. Manage your domain names and their settings.
- Websites. Access tools to build and edit your website.
- Email & Office. Set up and manage professional business email accounts.
- Security. Handle SSL certificates and other security features.
- Support resources. In case you’re stuck on something, support sources are easily accessible for you on the dashboard. There are two options to choose from:
- Knowledge base. This can be accessed by clicking the question mark (?) icon right beside your profile picture. Knowledge base offers a vast number of articles that answer any website building queries you may have.
- Chat support. Available through the chat icon at the bottom-right corner for real-time assistance.
- Renewal center. You can find this directly under the main navigation menu. It’s on the lower left corner of your dashboard. This is where you can keep track of your website and email subscription payments.
- View all products. You can find this just right below the renewal center button. Here you can find a comprehensive list of products and services, including domain registration and premium domains.

Section 1- Dashboard center
At the heart of your control panel is the dashboard center. This section keeps you informed and guides your next steps. Here’s what you’ll find:
- Special offers. Find our bundles and discounts here. Regularly checking this section can help you save on services and discover new features to enhance your online presence.
- Personalized prompts. Receive suggestions based on your account status. These prompts guide you through tasks like setting up a website or configuring email. Make the most of your account with this feature.
- “Pick up where you left off” feature. Easily resume recent tasks without navigating through multiple menus. Streamline your workflow with this.
- Ready to set up. If services like privacy protection or security features haven’t been configured yet, you’ll see prompts to set them up. This ensures your domain is fully protected.
By regularly checking this area, you can make the most of the services and opportunities available to you.
Section 2 – Domain.com logo
In the top-left corner of your control panel, you’ll find the Domain.com logo. Clicking this logo will always return you to the main dashboard, no matter where you are in your account. This provides a quick and easy way to navigate back to your starting point.
Section 3 – Profile settings
Your profile settings let you manage your account details. To access them, click on your profile picture in the top-right corner of your control panel. This reveals a dropdown menu with options for your account settings, billing information and access to the Domain.com marketplace:
- Account settings
- My profile. Update your personal information, such as contact details and security preferences. Keep this information current to maintain smooth and secure communication with your team and Domain.com’s support channels.
- Users & roles. Manage who has access to your account and assign appropriate permissions here. This is essential for maintaining control over your account’s security.
- Billing information
- Payment methods. Add or update your payment options to ensure uninterrupted service.
- Order history. Review past invoices and transactions for your records. Check what you have and what you can add to maximize the potential of your website.
- Renewal center. Manage your subscription renewals to keep your services active.
- Marketplace
- Marketplace. Explore additional products and services to enhance your online presence.
- Buy more products. Purchase new domains, hosting plans, and other services to expand your account.
At the bottom of the dropdown menu, you’ll find the Log out option. Click this to securely exit your account when you’re finished. Always log out, especially on shared or public computers, to protect your account from unauthorized access.
Section 4 – Sidebar navigation menu
On the left side of your control panel, you’ll find the sidebar navigation menu. This menu provides quick access to various sections essential for building and managing your website:
- Home. Returns you to the main dashboard.
Websites section
Clicking on the Websites tab in your control panel opens a dedicated page for managing your site’s features. You’ll see your website dashboard and another quick navigation panel on the left.

Overview
View all your published sites at a glance. This tab also makes it easy to draft a new site. Want to start fresh? Click “Add First Draft” and choose between using an AI builder or customizing a pre-designed template.
Next steps
Get personalized prompts to guide your progress. Whether it’s publishing your site, setting up SSL, or connecting your domain, this tab ensures you don’t miss any essential tasks.
Analytics
Track how your website is performing with easy-to-read data:
- Active users. Monitor how many people are engaging with your site.
- Popular pages. Identify which pages attract the most visitors.
- Devices. See whether your audience prefers mobile or desktop.
- Location. Discover where your traffic is coming from.
Templates
Browse through a variety of professional templates. This tab helps you find the perfect design for your website. Pick a template and start customizing it to match your brand and goals.

Store
This section is dedicated to eCommerce management. From tracking purchase orders and managing products to monitoring sales and reporting, it provides the tools you need to efficiently run an online store.

Branding
The Branding tab is your creative toolkit for building a strong and consistent brand. Here’s what you can do:
- Generate business names.
- Find a domain.
- Design your logo.
- Use Merch Market to create branded merchandise.
- Check brand consistency across platforms with the Social Handle Checker.
Content
The Content tab helps you create, plan, and share with ease. Here’s what you can do:
- Design Studio: Create stunning visuals to represent your brand. Use templates or start from scratch.
- Marketing Calendar: Plan and organize campaigns in one place. Stay ahead with reminders and scheduling tools.

Here’s what you’ll find:
- Contacts: Store and manage customer details in one centralized location.
- Lists: Organize your customers into groups for targeted communication and better engagement.
- Workflows: Automate repetitive tasks, like sending follow-up emails or reminders, to save time.
- Contact form inbox: All the messages sent through your website’s contact forms are collected here. This makes it easy to respond to inquiries without missing anything.
- Surveys: Create surveys to collect valuable feedback and understand your audience better.
- Custom forms: Design forms to gather leads or collect specific information for campaigns or projects.
Email & office
With Google Workspace, you can create a custom email address that matches your domain, giving your business a professional edge while enjoying a suite of collaboration tools designed for teams of any size.
Domains section
The Domains tab is where you manage all things related to your domain names. Here’s what you can do:
- View and manage domains: Access a complete list of your domains, check their status, and make updates as needed.
- Renewal options: Stay on top of domain renewals with automatic renewal settings to avoid losing your domains.
- Add a domain: Secure new domains or transfer existing ones into your Domain.com account for streamlined management.
- Privacy settings: Turn on domain privacy to protect your personal information from being publicly visible.
Security Section
The Security tab keeps your website and data safe. Here’s how it helps:
- SSL management: View and manage your SSL certificates to ensure your site is secure and trusted by visitors.

- Knowledge base: Click the question mark icon next to your profile picture to access detailed guides, FAQs, and tutorials. The knowledge base also includes a search bar, making it easy to find answers quickly by typing in your query. Whether you’re setting up a website or troubleshooting an issue, this tool ensures help is always at your fingertips.
- Chat support: Use the chat icon in the bottom-right corner of your dashboard to connect with a live agent. Get real-time assistance for technical challenges or account-related inquiries.

Section 6 – Renewal center

The view all products section, located below the renewal center, provides a complete overview of your Domain.com services and available features. Here’s what you’ll find:

- Domain privacy + protection: Enable privacy features to protect your personal information and secure your domains against accidental expiration.
- Premium names: Premium domains are high-value domain names that are short, memorable, and often include popular keywords. They can boost your online presence and help your business stand out. Explore these options to find a domain that elevates your brand.
- New domain extensions: Browse a variety of extensions like .tech, .art, or .nyc to find the perfect domain for your niche.
