Propagation: How Long Does it Take?

Nameserver changes typically take 24 to 48 hours before they start working fully. This period is called propagation, or how long it takes for root name servers and cache records across the entire web to update your website's DNS information. Because of propagation, not all visitors will find your website initially. They may see your old site until DNS propagates.

A lot of factors determine how long it will take for the new nameserver changes to become active. A users physical location, their internet service provider and luck might play a part. This is not something that Domain.com can control. When propagation completes, your site will appear on our server, and your email will be fully functional.
