Domain Management: How to Connect Domain to Website, Email and Hosting

Effective domain management ensures your website, email, and hosting services run smoothly. This guide will show you how to manage domain connections through your Account Manager. Understanding how to handle your domain connections is crucial for maintaining a seamless online presence.

Domain Connections Management
- Log in to your Account Manager.
- Click Domains from the left-hand navigation menu.
- Locate your domain from the list.
- If you have a single domain in your account, you will be redirected immediately to the domain management page.
- If you have multiple domains in your account, you can do the following:
In Advanced View:
- Click the domain or the vertical ellipsis icon on the far right, under the Actions column.
- Select Manage.
In Summary View:
Locate the domain and click its Settings button.
- Click the domain or the vertical ellipsis icon on the far right, under the Actions column.
- On the domain management page, go to the Domain Connections section.
- In the Domain Connections section, you can do the following actions:
Connect Website
- Click the +Connect Website button.
- Select your preferred action.
- If you do not yet have a hosting plan for your website, click the Continue button. You'll be redirected to the Domain.com front-of-site, where you can select your hosting plan and complete your purchase.
- You can also connect your domain to your existing website by updating its DNS records. Click the Advanced Tools link.
You'll be redirected to the Advanced Tools section, where you can set up or update your domain's name servers or DNS records.You can check out the following articles.
- If you do not yet have a hosting plan for your website, click the Continue button. You'll be redirected to the Domain.com front-of-site, where you can select your hosting plan and complete your purchase.
Connect Email
Important: This functionality is available only for domains registered at Domain.com.
- Click the +Connect Email button.
- Select your preferred action.
- If you prefer using professional email and do not have Google Workspace in your account yet, click Continue.
A pop-up window will appear, prompting you to proceed with your purchase. Click Buy Now to proceed.
- If you want to connect your domain to an existing email account, click the +Existing Service box and then click the Continue button.
You will be prompted to select one of your available plans to connect. Select one and then click on Continue again.

If you want to update your MX records to connect your domain to your email account, click the Advanced Tools link.
In the Advanced Tools section, set up or update your domain's name servers or MX records.

- If you prefer using professional email and do not have Google Workspace in your account yet, click Continue.
Connect Hosting
- Click the +Connect Hosting button.
- You can choose to connect your existing hosting plan or to a third-party hosting provider.
- If you already have an existing hosting plan with no domain connected to it, please do the following.
- In the pop-up, you will see the accessible hosting plan(s) in your account. Select the hosting plan where you want to connect your domain, and then click Connect.
Please note that the pop-up box will only show active services within the same account as your domain and not connected to another domain.
- In the next pop-up, confirm you want to connect to your hosting plan, then click Connect again.
- A confirmation pop-up will show up.
- In the pop-up, you will see the accessible hosting plan(s) in your account. Select the hosting plan where you want to connect your domain, and then click Connect.
- If you want to connect your domain to a third-party provider, please do the following.
- Click the another provider link.
- A pop-up will appear, instructing you to follow your provider's instructions and to update your DNS records in the Advanced Tools sections. Click the Advanced Tools button to proceed.
- You'll be redirected to the Advanced Tools section, where you can set up or update your domain's name servers or DNS records.

- If you already have an existing hosting plan with no domain connected to it, please do the following.
Manage Connected Services
If you already have connected services in your account and want to update them, click Manage to go to the hosting/email management page.
Manage 'Under Construction' Page
You can use an 'Under Construction' page to inform visitors that the website is unavailable.
- Click the 'edit the design' link to choose the type of Under Construction page.
- Select a template.
- Click Save.
Disconnect a Service
- Select the service you want to disconnect under the Connected Services list.
- Click Manage.
- You may now disconnect the service from the domain name on this page.
